AI & online safety for kids

Smart tools.
Safer platform.

Kai lives inside Kinzoo Messenger, a COPPA-compliant platform built from the ground up for kids and families. Every feature in the app is designed to prioritize safety, trust and meaningful connection.

What makes it different? Full moderation. Inappropriate messages are blocked in the app, and so are prompts that could lead to unsafe AI content. It’s a closed system built to keep exploration safe at every step. And, Kai is the only AI experience for kids built within an award-winning platform that’s been reviewed and certified by Common Sense Media, KidSAFE, and the Mom’s Choice Awards. Our parent dashboard means you’re always in the loop. You can see how your child is using Kai, review their prompts and get alerts for anything that needs your attention.

Age-appropriate AI tools

Safe AI starts with clear boundaries. That’s why we skipped the chatbot.

Some AI tools act like “buddies” by roleplaying, joking, even flirting. But pretending to be human can confuse kids and harm development. Experts warn these bots may blur reality, encourage overattachment and impact mental health with potentially dire consequences.

That’s why Kai skips the fake friends. No roleplay. No simulations. Just creative tools that help kids express themselves, explore ideas and build confidence. AI should spark imagination, not pretend to be a person.

AI transparency for parents

See what your kids are creating, and know when to step in

Kai is the first AI made for kids that keeps parents in the loop. With a dashboard and email updates, you’ll know what your child is creating, what they’re curious about, and if anything questionable comes up, you’ll get a heads-up. No surprises, just smart tools to help you stay connected and start the right conversations at the right time.

Where do I find Kai, and how do I try it?

Kai is available right inside Kinzoo Messenger. Just download the app, sign up or log in and tap the stars ✨ on the bottom.

How much does Kai cost?

You can try a few prompts in Kai for free! After that, you'll use Zoonies—our in-app currency—to keep exploring. Because every AI-generated image costs money, we charge a small amount to cover our costs, rather than showing you ads or selling your data. Zoonies can be purchased as a one-time pack, so you're never locked into anything.

Is Kai an AI companion or character that talks to my child?

Nope, and that’s on purpose. Kai isn’t a chatbot or digital “friend.” It’s a suite of creative tools designed to help kids explore ideas, express themselves and build skills without pretending to be human.

Why is Kinzoo building AI for kids?

Because kids deserve better than the risky, grown-up tools out there. We’re building AI for families who believe kids should be able to explore and learn, but in a safe, age-appropriate space with parental visibility and controls. Our goal is to support lifeguard parents with tools that foster creativity, curiosity and connection, without compromising on safety.

What kind of data is collected when my kids use Kai?

We collect the minimum data needed to operate the tools and keep kids safe. We never sell data or show ads. Kinzoo is fully COPPA-compliant and KidSafe-certified.
