AI is everywhere right now, and we wanted to know: what do parents actually think about all of this? So, we asked them directly.
In January 2026, we surveyed 918 parents in our community. The headline finding? Less than 20% of parents are comfortable with their children using any kind of AI. And, around 60% are “somewhat uncomfortable” or “very uncomfortable” with their kids using artificial intelligence.

And here's what makes this finding even more striking: these aren't parents who are unfamiliar with technology. The Kinzoo community is tech-savvy and tends to embrace digital media thoughtfully. These are Lifeguard Parents, the kind who want their kids to learn and explore technology within safe boundaries. They understand privacy risks. They know how algorithms work. They've thought about data collection and content moderation.
When the vast majority of parents—especially those who are digitally literate—express this level of caution, it's worth paying attention to. At Kinzoo, we believe listening to parents isn't optional; it's essential. Our community’s feedback helps shape our apps, and we’re working hard to build the kinds of platforms that make kids safer, healthier and better connected to what matters.
We'll be sharing our full research report soon, diving deeper into what's driving these concerns and what parents told us they actually need to feel confident about their kids and AI.
Stay tuned.
